pH Meters
soil pH is very important because it has such a strong influence on how well your crops will grow. pH levels will influence root development, microbial activity, fungi, symbiotic nitrogen fixation by legumes and the availability of nutrients. By regularly monitoring the pH levels of your soil you can ensure an ideal pH is maintained.
Soil pH may vary but generally a range between 6.0 and 7.0 is ideal. You can also use pH meters to test leaf sap, liquid fertilizers, irrigation water and crop juices.
